Beaune Day 5

My mom and I went to a patisserie early to get some pastries for the bus ride and then we got back on the bus. We each got our own row which is beyond amazing! And we were introduced to our bus driver Philippe, who was hilarious! And headed out for Beaune! It was only a few hours so we got there around lunch time and checked into the Athanor Hotel.

We settled into our rooms and then Jody took us out on a short city tour to help us orient ourselves. We first went to the Hospice, which is what Beaune is known for.  It was cool, not life-changing, but you learn a lot and there is a lot to look at! The rest of my family then wanted to go on a wine tour and do some wine tasting.  I, however, do not enjoy wine and had zero interest in that so I decided to venture off on my own!

Since it is a walled in city, I felt comfortable just wandering. I had soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun! I love being on my own, so I turned on my music, got my camera out, and just enjoyed everything! I learned a lot about how I like to vacation that afternoon! Then I met back up with the fam and we grabbed burgers for dinner and I showed them the highlights of my earlier adventure.
